Mary and Merrie England

I have long had a devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham and have visited her shrine in Norfolk many times. She accompanied me on my final approach to conversion to Holy Mother Church and held my hand as I crossed the threshold into Christ’s Mystical Body. I proposed to my wife whilst kneeling before her statue and we and our children pray to her daily for her powerful intercession. With all this in mind, I was delighted to see K. V. Turley’s wonderful article about Our Lady of Walsingham in the National Catholic Register.
