James Bemis, who writes the regular movie column for the St. Austin Review, has informed me of plans for a new film on the life of Solzhenitsyn:

James informs me that the producer has hired Cyrus Nowrasteh (who directed the excellent THE STONING OF SORAYA M) to direct the film. Based on the director’s comments, he seems to “get” Solzhenitsyn’s monumental impact on the twentieth century. Hopefully, this will stimulate even more interest in the great man.
