My wife assures me that every American knows this comedy skit by Abbott and Costello, which I don’t remember ever seeing before. All that I can say is that I was completely baffled by the rules of baseball before I saw this! Having watched it I’m more confused than ever! And Americans think cricket is confusing!
Joe, thanks for posting this memorable comedic performance. Even to this day, if I am in a conversation and the words “who” or “what” show up at just the right time, I will invariably go off on the “who’s on first” tangent. I still don’t understand cricket but, having been a baseball fan my whole life, this skit is a gem. Thanks.
