Noted below is the status of one particular case moved by a plaintiff against the Affordable Care Act, which requires employers to provide free healthcare coverage which includes payment for contraceptives, sterilization and some abortion-inducing drugs:

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case brought by a Christian publisher, Tyndale House Publishers.

I’m not knowledgeable in the law, but as a layman it seems to me that compelling an employer to provide coverage for what is essentially elective is an unreasonable requirement. But the law is often not an intuitive process.

So hope remains that Catholic and other Christian services and enterprises need not be put out of business unless they disregard their moral principles.

We should continue to pray for help to the guardian angels of the Supreme Court Justices.
