My friend Frank La Rocca, a fine composer of sacred music, has just had his setting of the Mass used at the celebration of the sacred liturgy in the Extraordinary Form at the National Shrine in Washington DC.  This is the first ever Mass of the Americas in the Extraordinary Form, celebrated by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

The whole Mass is beautiful and if you love liturgy, do listen to all (including much beautiful chant). However, if you just want to hear the choir singing Frank La Rocca’s music, here is where you’ll find it in the video, the link to which is below:

Cantico del Alba – 13:00
Kyrie/Gloria – 25:00
Ave Maria – 1:07:10 (Amy Broadbent, soloist)
Sanctus/Benedictus – 1:28:08
Agnus Dei – 1:32:05
Ave verum corpus – 1:40:00
Aue Maria – 2:06:40 – in Nahuatl (Crossley Hawn, soloist)
followed by the Salve Regina
