I’ve been deeply moved by an e-mail that I’ve received from a British-born Asian who has just read my book,Race with the Devil. Considering my own youthful neo-Nazi tendencies and my periods in prison for inciting racial hatred, it is humbling and gratifying to receive such warm praise from someone whom I would once have hated as an enemy.

Here’s the abridged text of the e-mail:
After having finished reading your autobiography, Race With The Devil, I am just overwhelmed not only by the trajectory of your life, but by the eloquence and charm of your writing!

To be honest, I was initially expecting a book with more details about the inner-workings of the National Front in the 1970s and racial strife in the UK – but your tale took me to unexpected places and subjects I also have a great interest in and have written about myself (how secularism and mass media have degraded our culture; how educational standards in the west have plunged; how consumerism and materialism have corroded our lives, etc.)
On the more prosaic side, I was stunned when you discussed the heavy Nazi/Nietzchean images of David Bowie’s early music – this is something I have long been aware of and may indeed write about.
Finally, a wonderful book and I will look for your other works on Tolkien (whom I also love), Solzhenitsyn (whom I admire) and GK Chesterton (whom I knew nothing about before!)
