I’ve just heard from Dale Ahlquist, President of the American Chesterton Society, that he discovered sixty-five uncollected Chesterton essays at the British Newspaper Library in Colindale, North London, during his recent trip to England for the Chesterton Conference in Oxford. The discovery of dozens of effectively “new” Chesterton essays is a veritable treasure trove! Dale also informs me that the edition of “the best Chesterton essays” on which he, Aidan Mackey and I have been collaborating is due for publication by Ignatius Press this autumn.
