After a welcome lull from travelling during January the lecture season gets underweigh this week with my first speaking engagement of the year. Here are the details of my speaking engagements over the next six weeks or so.

This Thursday, February 17, at 7pm, I am giving the Newman Lecture in the hall at the Newman Center at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Church & Catholic Student Center at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. My topic is “The Catholic Literary Revival”. For further details, please contact Fr. Bryce Sibley: frsibley@ourladyofwisdom.org.

March 3 – St. Paul University Catholic Center in Madison, WI

– At 7pm – “From the Hell of Hatred to the Well of Mercy: My Conversion Story”;

– At 8pm – “Why is Shakespeare’s Faith Important?”

March 4 – St. Paul University Catholic Center in Madison, WI

– At 9:30am – Breakfast and Talk at the University Club – Talk Topic: “Catholics in Literature”

The first of the talks in Madison is to undergraduates; the second is to graduate students. The talk on Friday morning is to a mixture of graduate students and undergraduates. I’m not sure to what extent these events are open to the general public. Inquiries should be directed to Fr. Eric Sternberg: esternberg@uwcatholic.org.

March 18-19 – Catholic Men’s Conference in Calgary, Canada

I’m giving more than one talk at this conference (I believe) but the topics are still to be confirmed. For details, please contact Sean Lynn: godsquad1@shaw.ca.

March 21-27 – Catholic Writers’ Conference Online

I’m giving a live chat some time during the week of this conference. The exact day is still to be confirmed. The chat topic is “What Writers Can Learn from G. K. Chesterton”. For more details, please contact Anne Mulligan McNesby: amulliganmcnesby@gmail.com.
