On view at MOBIA June 8-September 9, 2012

In much of our world today, beauty is thought to be a luxury, a bonus to our lives and not something we need to live well. We at MOBIA and the Dietrich von Hildebrand Legacy Project disagree, following the words of Emily Dickinson, “Beauty is not caused. It is.” Join us for a special conversation between poet, scholar, and advocate for culture Dana Gioia, and writer, collector, and lover of beauty Roberta Green Ahmanson.

Dana Gioia is former Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts and Judge Widney Professor of Poetry and Public Culture, University of Southern California. Roberta Green Ahmanson is a speaker, writer, philanthropist, and the chair of the MOBIA board.
