Our daughter Evangeline is a leapling, which is to say she was born on leap day. Today is her birthday, only the second she’s celebrated although she’s eight-years-old. This being so, I was delighted to receive, from a friend, the link to a video produced by the University of Georgia about leapday and those born on it. I was particularly surprised and pleased to discover that my daughter’s birthday was instituted by the Pope! How many people can make that claim!
