In the wake of my recent post offering glimmer’s of English hope, I thought I’d share this letter published in the Naples Daily News this week. It shows the prayerful and silent witness of Ave Maria University students on the beach in Florida. Such students are indeed the future of the Faith in the United States. Deo gratias!

From the Naples Daily News, letter to the editor:

“Hopeful”

To the Editor of the Daily News:

We were at Lowdermilk Beach pavilion last Saturday.  Around 6 p.m., a group of about 15 young adults came in carrying many boxes of pizza.  Before they ate, they all bowed their heads, said a silent prayer and made the sign of the cross.  What a wonderful thing we witnessed!  We asked them where they were from, and they replied, Ave Maria University.

We are not of the Catholic faith, but it gave us such joy to see these young people acknowledging the Lord before they ate.

God bless them; they are our hope for the future.
